Move Out To-do List

  The following to-do list will assist you with a smooth move out process by ensuring the house is returned in the condition it was received on your move in date. Following the to-do list will help avoid any charges being applied against your security/damage deposit. 


Please note that all move outs need to be completed by no later than 1:00 PM on the last day of tenancy.

  1. Vacuum/mop floor
  2. Empty closet 
  3. Wipe closet door and casing

  1. Clean toilet bowl
  2. Wipe around the bottom of the toilet 
  3. Wipe mirror
  4. Wipe vanity
  5. Wipe shower/tub

  1. Empty kitchen
  2. Clean microwave inside and out
  3. Clean countertop and all cabinets inside and out
  4. Empty fridge and wipe the fridge clean inside and out
  5. Wipe front of dishwasher
  6. Clean the sink 
  7. Clean the stove

  1. Clean any pet refuge in the back yard, sidewalks, and front yard
  2. Clean any debris, trash or any other items
  3. Ensure grass is cut  
  4. Put yard waste in proper city provided bin
  5. If there is a garage, clean the garage

  1. Vacuum/mop floor 
  2. Wipe walls and baseboards
  3. Fill up holes any holes in the walls and the paint 
  4. Wipe the fans  
  5. Wipe all windows and ledges  
  6. Wipe all mirrors in the house 
  7. Wipe all doors and door casing
  8. Take out any recycling and trash to the garbage
  9. Finally, clean any scuff marks
